Scraped knees,
And candy kisses,
Sticky hands and near misses.
Giggles in the summer heat,
The year was 1993.
Accidental, afternoon sprinklers,
Ice cream trucks,
A game of tag,
And little toy trucks;
Were the things I loved so much.
But those things are in the past,
It’s a good thing that memories last.
